WYO Miles - Esterbrook

The Laramie RangeYesterday I had the good fortune to travel through the Esterbrook area south of Douglas, WY.  I love the Laramie Range and need to spend a lot more time in those mountains.  The country suits me and I'm quite sure it does many others.

I'd describe Esterbrook as a summer recreational hidey-hole.  There are private homes/cabins tucked away in the forest below the massive Laramie Peak.  The Medicine Bow National Forest is close, and the area looks to be a sweet spot for wildlife.  If you've got access to a fishing stream it's got to be great, too.

Large ranch operations have preserved much of the country in open space.  I'd love to spend a day gathering cattle there one day.  The views are amazing.
