The Ross Mountain Cabin is located adjacent to the Billy Creek Road in the Big Horn Mountains, approximately 37 miles southwest of Buffalo, Wyoming. To reach the property you travel west on U.S. Highway 16 West for approximately 30 miles, where you turn onto the Hazelton Road (County Road 3) and travel south for approximately 1/2 mile, and then turn left onto the Billy Creek Road (FS 466) and travel southeast for approximately 6.5 miles to the property. Winter access is limited to snowmobiles or tracked vehicles.

Two log cabins and an outhouse comprise the improvements located on Lot 4 of the Ross Minor Subdivision. The main cabin is 704 sq. ft. in size and contains one bedroom and an open kitchen/dining/living room area. The second cabin structure is divided into guest quarters (224 sq. ft.) and an ATV garage/shop with storage (160 sq. ft.). The main cabin has a hearth pad and chimney flue in place to accommodate either a wood or gas heating stove. The guest cabin is heated by a small porcelain kitchen wood heating stove. Both cabins are wired for lights and small appliances which are currently powered by a portable generator. New roofs were installed on both cabins in the Fall of 2017.

Amenities: Two cabin structures are located on the 10.26 ± acre parcel which measures approximately 341 feet wide by 1300 feet long. The lot has about 60% tree cover with the remainder being typical mountain meadow. Tree species which inhabit the area are Aspen, Willow, Juniper, Blue Spruce, Douglas Fir, Limber Pine, Lodgepole Pine, and Ponderosa Pine. Wildlife common in the area are: moose, elk, deer, antelope, black bear, mountain lion, turkey, and blue grouse.
